Come visit the Sunshine Valley Tashme Museum
The Sunshine Valley Tashme Museum is the largest internment site and closest
to the West Coast. It is also the second most intact internment site in B.C. with
nine buildings still standing. We hold regular museum hours and also offer
tours on weekdays by reservation, and walking tours.
Outside of our regular weekend hours, we offer private viewings and walking
tours by reservation. A small fee may be applied outside of regular museum
hours. Personalized school field trips are available by reservation. Tour fees
apply. The Sunshine Valley Tashme Museum supports British Columbia’s K-12
curriculum. Please contact us to learn more.

Saturdays and Sundays
10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Please note: During Fall and Winter seasons, (October 1 – April 30) reduced
hours may occur due to weather and road conditions.
All vehicles are legally required to have snowflake rated snow tires to travel the
Hope-Princeton Highway starting October 1 – April 30.
The Tashme Museum does not charge general admission to visit the museum,
but will gratefully accept all donations.

The Tashme Museum is accessible by vehicle.
Free parking is available in the area.

Most of the facilities meet wheelchair accessibility standards.There is an accessibility ramp is available if needed.
A wheelchair is available for use if required.

Hours of operations can be effected by current weather conditions. Please call ahead between October – April at (604) 869-7070.
Please note, vehicles require snow-rated tires on Highway 3 from October 1 to April 30.
